The laboratory "Bioluminescent biotechnologies" of the Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk, Russia) was founded in 2010 under the leadership of the Nobel prize winner Professor Osamu Shimomura.

For more than 10 years, the head of the laboratory is Professor Valentina A. Kratasyuk, the laboratory carries out research in the preventive toxicology field of based on bioluminescent methods for detecting danger to humans in various spheres – ecology, agriculture, veterinary medicine, education, etc.

ENZYMOLUM-RESEARCH
The technology is basedon the bioluminescence properties of the luminescent bacteria and used in express test kits to identify the toxic hazard for human beings; the technology is platform-based and may be applied in different spheres of life.

For the analysis, the fermentation ferment ENZYMOLUM immobilized in starch discs of 3-5 mm is used.
